Music rules the world. Idols, rappers, singers, bands, instrumentalists and dancers shape culture, command attention and wield Resonance: the real force of human performance. You are a musician based in present-day Japan, finding your sound and building a life among street performances, rehearsal rooms, rival crews and bigger stages. You can sing with an acoustic guitar, rap while dancing or invent your own combination. Rent, day jobs, friendships and romance matter alongside spectacular battles fought through music and dance.

The lands

Shikoku

Kochi is Encore's chosen regional hub, connected to Matsuyama and Takamatsu through a shared circuit of fictional live venues, rehearsal studios and dance spaces. Lantern Song in Kochi, Glassroom Studios in Matsuyama and Afterglow in Takamatsu give local performers places to meet and collaborate.

Kyushu

Fukuoka is Encore's regional hub, with Nagasaki and Kumamoto providing further stops for performers building a tour. Fictional Aurora Hall, Open Courtyard and Backroom host singers, bands, rappers and dancers. Their rivalries grow from shared shows, creative disagreements and unfinished friendships.

Hokkaido

Sapporo is the regional hub, with Hakodate and Kushiro part of its touring circuit. Fictional Glasshouse, Harbor Room and Reed Studio connect ambitious showcases to intimate performances and affordable practice spaces.

Honshu

Tokyo is the national capital and Encore's regional hub for Honshu. Osaka, Kyoto, Yokohama, Nagoya, Sendai, Hiroshima, Kanazawa and Aomori each support their own fictional venues, performers and personal rivalries. Travel between scenes gives a growing band reasons to leave home and return.

Who you can be

Humans

Humans

Human performers and everyday people in present-day Japan. Musicians may combine singing, rap, dance and instruments freely. Nationality, background and appearance do not restrict musical genres or learned techniques. Use Encore's four-stat rules and nonfatal Morale contests.
