Overhauled Voice Narration
Narrate this scene now performs the scene: characters act their lines, and every voice fits its owner.
Narration got a full overhaul. Press Narrate this scene under any turn and you'll hear it acted, not just read.
- Characters perform their lines. When the scene says Ayla laughs despite herself, you hear the laugh in her words. Sighs, snorts and pauses land where they belong, and every character reads the moment the way it's written: clipped, defensive, whispered, shouted.
- A calmer narrator. Everyday moments are read plainly and at a natural pace. The big dramatic storyteller voice is saved for fights, dread and moments that earn it.
- Monsters sound like monsters. Demons, wraiths and constructs are voiced in character instead of run through distortion effects.
- Every voice fits its owner. A gravel-voiced smith gets the gravel voice, and each character keeps the same voice every time you meet them.
- Replay any scene. Every turn now has its own play button, so you can go back and hear older moments.
- Speed control. Tap the speed chip for 1x up to 2x. Your choice is remembered.
What it costs to run
Narrating a typical turn costs us about 2 cents, and a long one about 3 cents. That's roughly 70 cents per hour of listening. Replaying a scene you've already heard is free. Narration only plays when you press the button, so every cent goes to scenes you actually listen to.
